Study on Development and Commercialization of Hybrid Improvement Technology for Parcel Service Diesel Trucks

As demand for small parcel service trucks increase, hazardous emission such as PM and Nox from diesel trucks are being named as main causes of atmospheric pollution in the capital area and actual operating gasoline mileage is very low compared to official gasoline mileage caused by frequent stoppage and acceleration/deceleration due to nature of parcel service automobile operation thus being named as main cause for increase in logistics costs.
Korea Transportation Safety Authority (Joint research institution) has been executing the task of “Study on Development and Commercialization of Hybrid Improvement Technology for Parcel Service Diesel Trucks” as a research task to implement hybrid system in low speed zones where much of the omission is released from parcel service automobiles among tasks for transport and logistics industry of supervising research institutions KAIST and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport since July 2017. Our public corporation especially is carrying out the research task on regulations and evaluation method for hybrid tuning.
